Jeannette Russell is the First Lady to Pastor Bert Russell and the Fountain of Life House of Worship. She is a native of Arizona and was raised in Phoenix. As a youth, Jeannette attended Saint John Institutional Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Pastor L.J. Dunbar. She was baptized as a little girl and has been a faithful and active believer since the beginning of her Christian walk.
In 1983, Jeannette married Bert Russell and they are the parents of two children, Maya and Kye Russell. A few years after their marriage, Jeannette and Pastor Bert united with First New Life Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Bishop H.L. Barnwell, where Pastor Bert served as the Minister of Music for seventeen years. Between these two churches, Jeannette has served the church in many ministries: Sunday school teacher, vacation Bible school teacher, children’s church director, usher, choir member, and praise team member. In December of 2003. Pastor Bert was led by the Holy Spirit to give leadership to the newly organized congregation, Fountain of Life House of Worship. As the First Lady of Fountain of Life House of Worship, Jeannette continues to wear many hats and works in any area where help is needed. She is one of the leaders in the women’s ministry, marriage ministry and helps to train children’s church teachers just to mention a few areas where she’s committed to see growth. However, her most vital role is to work side by side with her husband. She works faithfully to see the vision of the house come to fruition. Jeannette says she has learned the importance of being a faithful, committed, obedient, and humble woman of the promise. She is a constant intercessor for the Pastor and the body of Christ.
Jeannette is a graduate of Arizona State University and holds a B.A.E. in Elementary Education and a Master’s Degree in Education from Northern Arizona University. Jeannette taught in the public schools in Phoenix for many years. Jeannette says her most important pursuit is to live a life that pleases God, honors Jesus, and submits to the Holy Spirit.
